How to inform Victoria Taxi of a lost item

We recommend the following courses of action:

  1. Call 250.383.7111 and ask for the Lost and Found Dept. The hours for the lost and found department are 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
  2. If you are calling outside of hours please call 250.383.7111 and ask for the lost and found voice mail leaving a detailed message. Lost and Found department will contact the customer at the earliest opportunity.
  3. Alternatively visit the Victoria Taxi office and complete a lost and found form. Office hours are Mon-Sat: 9am to 6pm.

The sooner we know about a lost item the sooner we can begin the recovery process and return your lost item(s) to you.


Responsibility

Victoria Taxi takes all steps to provide its customers with a professional level of service however, Victoria Taxi cannot be held responsible for items that are lost during the course of a trip.

In order to serve you better we recommend that you take the following steps when entering one of our vehicles:

  1. Ensure that purses and bags are securely closed when entering the taxi.
  2. Don’t place bags onto the floor of the back of the taxi, this could easily be forgotten when exiting the taxi, keep all small bags, purses etc on the seat next to you.
  3. Don’t text or message when in the taxi, you could easily be distracted and place your phone on the seat and forget about it when exiting the taxi.
  4. Make a note of the taxi number when entering the taxi, taxi numbers are located on each side of the taxi as well as on the rear.
  5. ALL lost and found items are returned to Victoria Police Department on a weekly basis. If you are looking for an item that has been lost for more than a week you are advised to check with Vic PD.
